Dark Redemption Dark Paradise Angie Sandro Books
Usually by the third book in a series I am somewhat skeptical as to whether the author can keep the storyline going and the characters strong. With Dark Redemption I was hoping so much that Miss Sandro would not have these problems. AND BOY DID SHE DELIVER!!The book started where the last one left off without a skip. Mala and Landry were still up to their eyeballs in issues (no spoilers here) and the story line was still as strong as ever! All of the characters involved are unchanged and as intertwined as ever. The action lasts from beginning to end. All the reasons I fell in love with Mala and Landry are still as evident in this book as they were in the first book.
By the third book in a series it is not unusual for the story line to begin to lose steam and the interest of the reader. Well, Dark Redemption starts out strong and goes nuclear!! And the ending is so apropos. It is perfect.
As I have said before, I am not convinced Miss Sandro isn't a sorceress! She knows how to create a story that pulls the reader in and hypnotizes them, making it unable to put the book down.
I anxiously await the next book!!
This is a MUST read!!

Dark Redemption Dark Paradise Angie Sandro Books Reviews
Oh My Gravy!! It all comes together and falls apart and comes together again in this last book of Angie Sandro’s Dark Paradise trilogy/series. Angie Sandro is amazing when it comes to weaving an intricate story tying up things from the last two books neatly into this one for one dynamic climatic ending. I loved every second of this series, every twist and turn and scary hoodoo spell this series has been great reading.
Mala and Landry are stuck between a rock and a hard place. With the death of their father and Dena in a coma, Mala and Landry are left to take care of her cousins; cousins that enjoy making Mala’s life hell but secretly love her and don’t want to be separated, no matter what Social Services say. Landry’s Father left homeless after the last book is staying with them helping out, and keeping Landry and Mala apart until the wedding bells ring not that that is stopping them. Meanwhile Landry’s getting worse with that thing in his head takes over when he sleeps and sleepwalks, it really freaks Mala out when she finds him naked in her chicken coop covered in blood and feather.
Auntie Magnolia has sent Sophia and Ferdinand to help train Mala and Landry with their abilities but human remains found out on a preserve has George asking Mala for help pulling her away from training. The heinous actions of this killer has endangered Mala the only way to help is Landry makes a deal with the demon in his head. The demon that turns out isn’t really a demon and despite a twisted sense of humor is trying to help. The child murder is still on the loose and George uses Mala’s need to help other to lure her in to help with the case. To top it all off Mala and Landry get a couple of surprises that can change everything. One being the sudden reappearance of Poppy, the mother of her cousins who ran off and vanished years before and wants to take back her boys and pull Dena off life support.
The sh*t all hits the fan at the same time. Mala and Laundry fight for their sanity and dark entities both physical and mystical that are out to ruin everything. No one is who you think they are good guys end up being bad and the people you think are bad end up saving the day. This series really is best when all three are read but it is so worth it.
Oo I liked it!
The Gist Mala's kept the fact she can communicate with ghosts a secret her whole life and has a life altering decision to make. There's something evil out there brutally murdering teenage boys as some sort of sacrifice and her otherworldly talents and the support of her boyfriend might be the only way they'll find justice.
Landry and Mala were great characters. This is an ongoing series so they were already an established couple and I loved them together. The chemistry, support and connection between them was amazing and you could tell they cared deeply for one another. They weren't perfect, though, and had to work on it. All kinds of things were thrown in their laps. A group of abandoned boys they'd been caring for, pressures from family, the occasional demon possession, betrayals. Pretty much what your every day 20something has to deal with, right? lol
There was a lot of suspense. Gah. The case they found themselves tangled up in was...gruesome. Dark magic and a serial killer. Using innocence to gain power for some unknown cause. Things moved at a very fast pace and kept me guessing at what was really happening and who was behind it all. Some things I semi-figured out but not everything. It was nicely done.
My only issues were that in a couple spots I thought things needed a little more explanation/dealing with. And then a couple other spots where I had a moment of confusion or two but that stemmed from jumping in at book 3. So that's on me. And it really wasn't too bad.
Overall, Dark Redemption was a refreshing paranormal jaunt full of dark and gritty elements that were balanced out with strong characters you could root for, a lovely romance and bits of humor and heat. I'll be heading back to book one for sure.
This was something different for me but I really enjoyed all 3 books of this story. I read all 3 within a week. Very good read!
I love this book! Great read! There were plenty of exciting twists mixed with unforeseen turns. I couldn't describe it in one word, I would have to say it's a combo of many Exciting, stimulating, creepy, sexy, sad, vivid and thought provoking! You know a book is good when you have a dream about it. Two thumbs up!
This series is really unique and I liked reading it. I find the characters to be engaging and the story compelling. This is really a good book that I would recommend to anyone looking for a goodread!
